Good news for anyone who had doubts about CBD. EU court ruling: CBD is not a sedative. Court of Justice of the European Union PRESS RELEASE No 141/20 Luxembourg, 19 November 2020
The EU Supreme Court took an important decision on 19 November 2020, ruling that CBD is not a sedative!
European decision
It is a European decision ‘CBD does not appear to have any harmful effect on human health’, the judges wrote. The Court points out that, according to the current state of scientific knowledge (to be taken into account), CBD does not have psychotropic and harmful effects on human health, unlike THC, another hemp-derived cannabinoid.
forbid
Banning the sale of CBD products because they are a cannabis extract goes against the ‘general spirit’ of the UN conventions, which aim to protect people’s health. CBD, unlike psychoactive THC, “does not appear to have any psychotropic effect or any harmful effect on human health,” the court wrote.
The ruling by the Court of Justice of the European Union, or EU court ruling: CBD is not a sedative, is a setback for all EU countries that take action against CBD-bearing products. These countries argue that cbd would be harmful to people’s health.
